Well I would say its from the fish itself i don't know what u mean by by-products of the fish. i mean people eat cod all the time so i don't think they just catch them for their liver and discard the rest when they catch them for food they may take the liver and use it separately for the oil. but i know that cod liver oil is a natural product. hope this helps.

Not at all, they just make the fish exercise until the fish naturally and painlessly releases the oil, therefore keeping the fish in shape and helping people get healthy. It's a situation were everybody wins, ecxept the fish because they actually kill him and the oil is taken from his internal organs

i'm not sure how they woud determine
if a fish were mentally ill,,,,,,guess if he swims
toward a shark instead of away
