From Ghana, we normally say hello( English influence from colonial times) But in my language when you see someone you also say 'otsi den'- how are you- as a form of greeting.

Aberdeen, Scotland.
We say either "Fit like? or "Foo's yer doos?"
The first one means How are you? The second one ,strangely enough, means How are your pigeons? I have used it as a greeting but never really thought about how weird it really was before now.
