From Ghana, we normally say hello( English influence from colonial times) But in my language when you see someone you also say 'otsi den'- how are you- as a form of greeting.

We say either "Fit like? or "Foo's yer doos?"
The first one means How are you? The second one ,strangely enough, means How are your pigeons? I have used it as a greeting but never really thought about how weird it really was before now.
