why can't you go to the City or Town hall where she was born and get an official copy? It costs a few dollars but that's all you'll need.

Why can't you get her birth certificate? It should be easy. BUt no i went to mexico like a dumb a** did'nt take anything as far as paper. I was soooo stupid i was financing a car through Alliance Bank and did'nt even think to get permission , no birth certificate, passport .etc .......They did give me a big hassle i had to wait a whole day over there talking with people, but i had money and i was able to get through the mexican consol....whatever its called paying 600.00 bucks to get my car in 9they gave me half back when i came back)then 20 miles down the road they asked for my passport i did'nt have one of those either so i just gave the 16 bucks and they let me in, Coming back was a breezeeeeeee. You just say" im a american citizen" thats it.

You will not be able to take her without her birth certificate. And if both parents are listed on the birth certificate when you do get one you will either both need to be there or you with need written consent from the other parent to take the child out of the country and the consent will need to be notorized.

Uhh.. did you have your girl in the street? I assure you that there is a birth certificate on file somewhere.... Either in Mexico or the U.S. wherever you had her. You can't just waltz a kid over the border like that. She HAS to have some sort of identification.

I think that maybe you will since you need a birth certificate as one the ID's you need to obtain a passport. Hopefully you can obtain one or if you are not going to be gone long leave her with a relative. And make sure you leave them a not giving them permission to care for her in case she needs to go the Dr's office or to the hospital. And make sure you sign and date it so they will know when you wrote it.

taking her will not be the problem, it will be getting her back out, that's where they check for I.D... I suggest you get her birth certificate before you go or some form of I. D. you didn't state how old she was.

Yes, anything could happen and they not letting you both back over. You need some form of identification to go over the border and I'm sure to get back. You need to call someone to be sure you aren't going to be in a sticky situation later.
