ever since i've had kids i have gain weight in my thighs and hips(love handles...you can say i have...though i am not overweight i just have problems losing the hips and thighs anyone know of any exercises that may help me? it is embarssing to go to the beach or wear any type of tight shirt because of this.. please help!

What I've done is cut out soda and junk food. I'm also doing an excercise program called Turbo Jam program and I LOVE it! It's a combination of cardio, kickboxing, and dance plus it's got some modern day music to exercise to.
The hardest part about losing weight is getting started. Best of luck to you! :)

Start by looking @ what foods you are consuming. Get a hold of a food guide to make sure you are getting all of your nutrients.
Purchase a glycemic index book. Choose foods from all of the food groups with low G.I numbers. In order for this to work treat yourself every week to something you love but may be high on the Index, kind of like a reward . What you are doing is working on changing your fat body mass to lean body mass.. For example someone could weigh 100 pounds but still have a high percent of body fat & not lean mass. At the same time you start changing your eating habits, get involved in a safe well rounded fitness program. Make sure the program includes all the components of fitness. What's very important is that you find a well trained certified instructor to help you.
You can do it !

walk. you burn more calories walking than you do running, plus you can take your kids with you. after i had my son i walked every day and in 4 months i had my abs back (nursing him helped with this also) and my butt & hips were smaller too. i went from a size 10 to a size 6 in those 4 months. of course you also have to eat healthy, non-fat foods and drink alot of water to help the process, but walking is the best exercise that doesnt cost money or take alot of time to do.

Eat more fruit and veg.I recommend you buy a smoothie maker,the weight will drop off you and they are so nutritious.My kids love them.Put a mango,banana,strawberries,pears .whisk it up and wow.they are yum yum and kids love making them.They are so filling,it lies like a lead balloon in your stomach,stopped me eating rubbish.I had no room.A simple way of getting fit in the house.Most houses have 13 steps.run up and down the stairs 12 times.it really tones up the legs and thighs,

Do lots of cardio excercises like running and power walking and eat right (no more fat free and sugar free drinks and snacks) and more do eat more salads and lean meat and yogurts and off course fruits.
You can't spot reduce, you have to lose fat everywhere too before your body actually starts getting rid of fat from your trouble spots.

Slash 250 cal.s a day to lose about 25 lbs. in a year, Slash 500 cal.s to loose 50 pounds.
