There is only one religion in the world today that teaches ALL of Christ principles. He clammed to be the Son of God. This is the person that they were waiting for. Jesus only taught one doctrine and only one way to live life right. So Why is it that there is so many different religions, and over 90,000 different Christian churchs? They all admit that they began with Adam and Eve. Adam never said anything about a big bang. He always testified of God and his Son. So why not choose the only religion that follows Christ to the T?

Well, there are just so many different interpretations of the Bible. Some people believe that Adam and Eve actually existed. Some people believe that Adam and Eve was just a symbolic story -- that the universe really did begin with the Big Bang or however further back scientists can go. Some believe that the entire Bible, even with all the contradictions, is literally true. Some believe that the entire Bible should be interpretted contextually. The main reason that there are so many Christian faiths is that the first of them, Catholicism, came up with many traditions to go along with Christ's teachings, like the idea that Christ himself is present in the Eucharist at mass, or that only men should be priests. These things were just developed over time -- never mentioned in the Bible, so like I said, there are many interpretations.

Adam who? Do you actually believe there was once a guy named Adam living in the Garden of Eden? This is a metaphor, a "nice" story to illustrate a point. Many other cultures around the world have creation stories that differ, but are meant to illustrate & explain creation. Adam & Eve is as much mythology as Zeus and Hera!!!

No, I don't believe Jesus was wrong, per se, but I don't think we can say for sure what he said, did or taught. The people who were left with the task of interpreting Jesus' message were inarguably human, & therefore interpreted Jesus' message through the lens of thier personal biases based on their life experience, culture, society, political status & personal agenda.

The religion you believe "follows Christ to the T" is the one you were probably raised with, taught, rehearsed, & basically, to be frank, brainwashed. Endorsed by your parents & clergymen. So, you are as biased as anyone. See how that distorts the truth a bit? Can you imagine...after thousands of years?

Please, you were blessed with a brain, free will & the ability to think. Educate yourself on the history, theology & philosophy of Christianity. Look at it from a more scientific perspective.

How can you say you "follow Christ to the T"? Are you saying you, a mere human, is able to accuratley & objectively interpret the messages of God as given by Jesus? That's a pretty big claim.

A good question, "What "version" of the Bible do you use? Think about the deeper meaning of that.

Last, OPEN YOUR MIND

Nope, Jesus was not wrong. The reason there is so many different churches is that if you don't want to do something that is taught in one church, go start your own so you can do it. Don't like what some in your church think, go start another one. Don't want to do something that is in the bible, rewrite it and start another church. If all would go by the bible and the bible only, there would be only one church and we would be in Heaven now. Some that get in a fuss with someone in the church they are in will just stop going and start another branch or maybe another whole church. I have seen it happen many times in the past 10 years even. Follow the bible and you will have the only church that follows Christ to the T. And that one is in operation today.

There is only one Church and Jesus The Christ is the Head. Those who follow Christ Jesus in The Way, The Truth, and The Life, are Christians.

Why so many "denominations"?

Jesus was not wrong. The reason we have so many different churches is people want to believe what is easy or convenient that suits their needs and when the church they go to doesn't
believe what they want it to, so many go off and start their own
churches. Jesus was the son of God, but when Jesus came many people were expecting a King to rule not an ordinary person. The reason Jesus came as a baby and not a king,
was to show that he came for ALL people, rich, poor, all races
and not just for one class of people.

Because your conclusions are reached by many assumptions, like that we should believe the bible and that we should believe in Jesus. Many people don't even believe in God, so why should they follow His teachings to a T? Also, I am sure almost no one follows His teachings to a T, no matter what sect of Christianity you follow. Here's a question for you: Why would you not follow Judiasm to a T? Probably because you don't believe that some of the premises are true. People answer your question in the same way.

Because when God destroyed Babylon the Great and everyone went their separate ways because God confused the language and they also took with them their false religion that's why we have this problem to day.but their is only one true God and one true religion we must pray to God to find the right one,so we can be saved, and have everlasting life.i believe the ones that follow what Jesus taught with love and the ones who preach what is supposed to be taught right from the bible and not take it into their own hands.

Your question makes statements that many people do not agree with and do not accept as fact. People choose their religion based on what suits their personal faith and beliefs, and no one is going to change that. You can't control what people believe or who they choose to see as their savior, and it is unfair to criticize them for having a different religion that you. Faith is very personal and special to the individual. It cannot be decided based on Yahoo Answers.
Saying that because someone does not share your same religion means that they think that "Jesus was wrong" is unfair and oversimplifying the issue.

I think that many Christians get mired in doctrinal arguements when, really, there are fundamental beliefs that all may agree upon:

1. In one God, our Father, eternal, and infinite in his wisdom, love and power, the Creator of all things, "in whom we live, and move, and have our being."

2. And in Jesus Christ, our Lord, the only begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary; who came into our world to seek and to save that which was lost; who died for our sins; who was raised bodily from the dead for our justification; who ascended in heaven as our High Priest and Mediator, and who will come again in the end of this age, to judge the living and the dead, and to reign forever and ever.

3. And in the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, sent from God to convince the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment, whereby we are sanctified and sealed unto the day of redemption.

In fact, these core beliefs are all that are necessary for salvation and no amount of good works or doctrinal tenets can ever add or subtract from them.

U are exactly right. The Bible only speaks of one church. No where can u find anyone speaking about "all the different churches". Man has made his own church and has cultivated it according to what he wants to believe. Man adds to the words of God as well as takes away from it. As a christian, we should strive to do what the bible says..ONLY what the bible says. Like you said, to the T.
