I always avoided children until I had my own. My baby is only 8 months and I now see what I couldn't before - I like spending time with children now, it's only because I didn't know how to relate to them that I found it hard.

It depends on the child. I invited "friends" over who brought their children. These children, who were old enough to know better (7-10 years old), trampled all over my furniture, ran around in the house, slid down the bannister, slammed doors, and chased my poor cat. To top it off, the parents didn't say anything, so I had to lock my cat in the bedroom and send the children outside to play. They will not be invited over until the children learn how to behave in a house. Of course, I blame the parents.

I generally like all children. I'm a preschool teacher so it comes pretty naturally to me. Like someone else said its not the kids themselves, but their environment and their parents who cause them to be the way they are. I do tend to get pretty attached to kids if I spend a lot of time around them.

I love my daughter and my boyfriends little boy. I also really favor my boyfriends nieces and nephews along with my own, but I don't play favorites with any of them. I can't really with six kids running around its hard to.

Sorry to be contrary, but I love my children and my friends' kids!! I guess, like most parents, I am more forgiving of my own kids' faults.

I must admit I find children a little indigestible: they have a tendency to give me chronic indigestion!!

But if I had to choose, I would much prefer my home grown ones..at least then I know they are free from all additives and preservatives!!!

Just my own, I have little or no tolerance for others little ones epically the non-behaving disrespectful un-kept ones I see running about without any type of supervision

I like all kids. There is no pretence with kids. What you see is what you get.
For example, if you ask a friend their opinion of a new outfit, they will try to be tactful & say they like it even if they dont. If you ask a child you will always get the truth no matter how harsh it may be.
