It all depends on what you might be eating with the wine. I love a good Pinot Nior or a Pinot Grigio. I also love good Italian red wines. If you ever get the chance, try a wine called Bertani Amerone..simply wonderful!

Mostly it depends on what I'm eating, but one of my absolute favorites is Pinot Noir because it is a light red - it is good by itself or you can have it with fish, poultry, vegan or vegetarian dishes, and you can even have it with red meat. It is just beautiful with cherry fruits and a smooth and mildy spicy finish. California makes great Pinot Noirs and they can range from $6 to $75, but try a few - you should be able to find a really good one for under $20. I like wine. LOVE wine, actually.

It depends on what we are eating. If we are eating meat, red wine is my favorite. If we are eating fish... I'd say white. I like them both. Shiraz is good.

for red: a spicy cabernet. For white, a crisp reisling. but my FAVORITE wine is Gamay Rouge from V. Sattui winery in St. Helena, CA. You can order it on their website. It is a beautiful bright, clear red...like Koolaid! It's light and sweet, and best served chilled.
