The Jello Shot Guru here I recommend this recipe:

1 6 oz box of jello
2 cups hot water
7/8 cup alcohol

For Step by Step instructions and helpful tips and tricks go to www.jelloshotz.com

you can use any kind of alcohol that sounds good to you. Here are some ideas:

green apple jello (if you can find it, it was discoed by Kraft.) and wild apple vodka

Gin and Lime Jello
Tequila and Lime or Lemon Jello
Light Rum and Berry (Strawberry especially)
Vodka works in any flavor (Blue Jello is cool, so is watermelon)
Use peach Jello and sub Hot OJ for water and use Vodka...YUM
Use Cranberry Jello, Hot Cranberry Juice. Get some dried cranberries and soak them in vodka over night. This turns the vodka a nice red and very flavorful. Then you use the vodka in the jello shot and you can put a few cranberries in the Jello Shot. Way Yum.

So many ways to go....visit my site at www.jelloshotz.com

I personally like the little plastic jello shot cups better than the paper ones. Once you have used a toothpick a couple times you get the hang of it, it works like a charm.

Also you can use Jello or Cake molds to have some fun. I used ice cube trays to make a flag for 4th of July last year.

This is how I did it a bunch of times at college:

It is basicly the same thing as making jello normaly except that when you add the cold water at the end you add vodka. I used aristocrat... The did not taste that good, but they DEFINATLY did the job... I would have prefered to use a bit better vodka, but I was in college and did not have much money( I was not selling the shots)

But at the point when you have to put in the cold water put in a couple of ice cubes to cool down the mixture then put in the ammount of water asked for in vodka.

Do not poor the Vodka in to the very hot water, it will cause the alcohol to evaporate very quickly.

Then you want to put it in to small containers 2-3 ounces work best... any smaller and you feel like you are getting jipped, any larger people will not want to take them in one gulp.

If you can find containers with a top then that is all the better. Then you can stack them and they are easier to put in the fridge.

When you start drinking try to limit your self to 5 or 6 durring the night if you are also drinking beer or cocktails... They do have the tedndency to sneak up on you and you have the tendency to forget how many you have had.

Here is the recipe, hope you enjoy!

Jello Shots

6 ounces Jello (large package)
16 ounces Water (boiling)
6 ounces Water (cold)
10 ounces Vodka
Mix the jello mix with the boiling water until the powder is fully dissolved and add the cold water and alcohol. Pour the cooling mixture into either shot glasses or paper cups. Shot glasses are more attractive, but drinker can turn the paper cups inside-out to more easily eat the alcoholic jello.

Make jello according to the package, except instead of cold water, add your favorite liquor (typically vodka or some kind of schnapps), pour into single serve plastic mini cups, chill and enjoy once the jello has set. Mmmmm, jello shots!

I add the amount of water it say to add, I think its 2 cups. Then I add 1 1/2 cups vodka, and then i stir in about a half cup of ice cubes to make sure it quick sets.

I buy those condiment cups from a restaurant supply house and I fill those. But you should get the plastic ones because the papers ones leak.

Fill them up by either dipping them in the bowl our pouring into them and let them sit in the fridge for about 2 hours or so.

presto! jello shots

when we make them we use vodka. you need to pick the kinds of jello you want. we use half a cup of vodka and half a cup of hot water. then when its all mixed and everything we pour them into these little cups that you use for condiments and then put lids on and let then sit in the fridge for a while. blue rasberry and watermelon are really good.

Well you can't do all alcohol because it won't harden and it will taste like ****! What ever the recipe calls for in water,,....use 50% water and 50% vodka. Not rum, or anyother alcohol, VODKA. Then mix it togther, cold water only becasue you'll evaporate the alcohol if you use hot water.
Pour the liquid into small plastic cups, and harden! Then your all set to go!! mmmmm
I've done this before can't you tell! ;)

Its been a while but...
If I remember correctly you follow the directions on the box, replace the 1 cup of cold water with 1 cup of vodka (or other liquor), pour into tiny plastic cups (which you can buy at a party supply store, or even better - if you have a friend who works in a restaurant ask if you can buy a bag of them) and refridgerate.
