No, you have up to a year. But seriously, your guests are wondering by now. Get going!

No. "Better late than never", they say, so you should get those thank-yous out. People understand that you are incredibly busy and can understand the delay. They won't, however, understand not sending thank-yous at all. That will be considered extremely rude. If you are concerned about it, try addressing the issue head on:
Dear (name),
I apologize for the delay in sending this thank-you, and I appreciate your patience with us as we are still getting settled into a completely new rhythm!
I was touched by the presence of so many friends and family at the wedding, and you are an important part of that group! Thank you for being a part of our special day. (Spouse) and I are still thrilled with the (gift) and have put it to good use in our home. Thanks so much for helping us acquire all of the tools we needed to get our lives together underway!
Thank you again,
(your name)
This may seem a bit long, but I would recommend giving some length to the note so that your friends and family don't feel like they are receiving a form letter that you wrote. Whenever possible, list the actual gift that you received. I used a format similar to this and I got so many compliments on how personal and grateful our thank-you notes were. I would highly recommend mailing your notes as soon as possible.
Hope this helps you! Good Luck!

It's true, you do have up to a year to send out thank you's. The sooner the better so get going. Your friends and family will appreciate a thank you, it's quick if you both sit down and do it.

It is not too late if you really want to send them. But personally, I give for the sake of giving so if I get a thank you note...cool, but if I don't, I don't mind one bit.

Never too late and it will probably come as a surprise to those who've already decided you're being rude. They'll get it and think, "Oh, they weren't snubbing us."
