I am sorry to tell you the only thing that you can do for spit ends is cut them. If you don't all they will end up doing is splitting farther and farther up and it will look like your hair was cut anyway. The only thing is that it will be much shorter than if you would have just gotten it trimmed in the beginning.

Hope this helps~Bon

Straightening does damage the hair and can cause split ends. Creams can temporarily make your hair look healthier, but the only way to fix split ends is to cut them off.

To prevent future split ends don't wash your hair every day, wet hair is more easily damaged(also don't comb or brush wet hair if you can avoid it). Use a moisturizing shampoo and intensive conditioner. The heat and dryness from blow drying your hair can cause damage. Don't die or perm your hair or use styling products that contain alcohol. Curling irons, straighteners and other heated styling utensils are not good for your hair so don't use them or use them only occasionally.

Taking a multi-vitamin and a good balanced diet will help hair grow stronger and sometimes faster, but these result won't be seen for awhile, because hair grows so slow.

Heat can definitely damage your hair. I don't have a choice and need to use a blow dryer and curling iron. There is a product from TCB that protects your hair from heat damage and doesn't leave a residue, I use it prior to blowdrying my hair. Also they were right about getting your hair trimmed, damaged hair doesn't get better as hair is "dead" so you just have to trim it for it to look more manageable. Also look at your combs and brushes. Wire bristles can damage hair and some plastic combs have edges that are left over from the mold that can damage your hair. Take a nail file and file down the edges between the teeth of the come and it should ease up on damage done.

Keep it trimmed every six weeks. There is nothing to put on the hair to keep it from splitting, even if the product says "split end mender". The only thing that will help is time. Good Luck

Pretty much the only thing you can do is get a trim every 4-6 weeks. You can also buy shampoo for split ends.

Straightening your hair could be a major reason why it's splitting, bc that happens to me. Trim your ends regularly and condition your hair. There are also products to help split ends.

You it is fine to straighten it that often. You need to get fotifying shampoo... Biolage by Matrix Fortifying shampoo and conditioner. You need a trim every 2-3 months. You also need to get a heat gel that will calm your hair after you straighten it. It will cool it and moisturize your hair. The heat tends to dry it out so don't forget CONDITIONER!

The straightening could make it weak. When wet, comb with a wide tooth comb, don't pull it with a hair brush. Once the ends are split you can't repair them, you need regular trims.

get a trim to get rid of the split ends, then use a shampoo that treats processed hair, and, if possible, don't straighten your hair as much

Trim your hair and from now on use a conditioner made for protecting your hair from split ends.
