I drink a lot, yeah, but I think my friend is just jealous, cuz a lot of guys buy me drinks ... more than they buy for her.

She even had the nerve to say I should go to AA with the losers who can't drink...she needs to get a life or a guy or something.

first off-AA is not a bunch of losers.
2-if you can not drink for weeks and can say no thank you when offered a drink then chances are you are not a alcoholic,but if you just can't pass on booze then you may want to face the possibilty that you have a problem.

if you drink every day, than i say yes , i have a friend that own her way home from work she stops buys 24 pack, she starts the min. she gets in her drive way an dont stop til its all gone , now this is everyday , she goes to work an is a supervioser, an never misses work, but she says she not a alcoholic, but just because guys buy u drinks doesnt mean your one, but drink everyday ,yeap not if you just have 2 a day,

How much are you drinking, and how often? If it's more than a couple times a week, and a couple drinks a night, time to take a bright light and shine it on your tippling habits, there. If you're not having a good time unless you're half-lit, might want to back off on all that for a while, take a step back, and think about how you're livin'...whiskey bottle's not your 'friend'...

I know alot of people who go to AA and they are the furthest thing from losers. How can you call someone who accepts responsibility for there shortcomings and takes a step every day of their life to fix it a loser? I doubt that is why your friend says that to you. You are not nice to your "friend". Maybe she is just concerened about you??

What do you do? Can you cope with your projects? Does alcohol have any influence upon you? If not and you cope with everything fine, then go on!
If you can go out and if you don't feel like drinking and don't then you are not alcoholic!

If you drink to avoid hangovers.
