I'd like to find a home for a sweet, loving lap-cat from Dallas who is FeLV and FIP+. She was found starving in a New Mexico motel parking lot and is too sweet to euthanize, is litter trained, and only wants to sit in your lap and purr for hours. Need an indoor home where she's it, or perhaps a companion to another + kitty. You won't be sorry, I promise!

She can't be around any feline leuk neg cats. Even though she herself may not be sick, she is a carrier and could pass it along to another cat. It's going to be very tough to place her. I think I'd start with any animal rescue groups that are local to you, and see if they have a contact. The vets may also be a good resource for you, as there are indeed people who only take in these cats who through no fault of their own, have really been handed a death sentence and really deserve a chance at love and life.

Try contacting the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. They're located in Utah but have something called the Best Friends Network made up of people all over the country... they're a great resource, especially with localized situations...

Your local humane society or no kill shelter may be able to turn you onto to people in your area who care for + cats.

She sounds like a sweetie.. good luck to you and her!!

Contact your local humane society for possible adoptive families in your area. They usually keep lists like that. There are also plenty of web sites out there. Do a google search for "Feline Immunodeficiency Virus" and see what you get. We lost a cat to the disease earlier this year, and finding them a home is difficult. Good luck!

A local animal shelter or rescue group. I had an FIV+ cat he was a really great cat, I loved him... he passed away. FeLV is really serious stuff though. I bet your cat is really sweet. poor her. I hope you find a place for her she really deserves it. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
