Not likely. Unless you have DENTAL insurance specifically, most regular health insurance companies consider braces to be a cosmetic procedure.

Dental and/or Health Insurance alone do not cover braces but you can get Orthodontic Insurance that specifically covers braces.
Contrary to popular belief and most of the other answerers, Dental Insurance does not cover braces (like another answerer stated, it is considered cosmetic).
The only insurance that covers it is Orthodontic Insurance. You will most likely need to contact a broker since most companies don't offer this type of coverage, a broker would be able to locate a company that does.

There are dental plans that help you pay for orthodontic work (I know CIGNA does). Be careful, though, because some plans provide preventive care (cleanings, X-rays) only and might consider braces a cosmetic cost. There are a lot of options, including traditional pay-as-you go dental insurance; dental fee cards that aren’t insurance but might provide lower insurance rates (or none for a year) than if you were to take out a loan or pay with a credit card; and dental HMOs that offer lower costs as long as you use in-network dentists.
Your best bet is to talk with local insurance agents. Chances are, they’ve helped people with your question. I work for a site called MostChoice.com, which specializes in putting you in touch with locally licensed agents. Just fill out a short form, review quotes from health plans in your area, and wait for agents to contact you. There is no cost or obligation. Just tell the agents what you want, what you expect to spend, and have them do the rest.

Hope this helps,

Not health insurance. Try dental insurance. Most dental insurance companies only cover 50% of braces.

To cover orthodontia (braces and related teeth-straightening stuff), you probably need dental insurance. Many dental insurance plans cover orthodotia to a specific limit, such as $1000 or $3000. Talk to an insurance agent or, if you are employed by a large company, your Human Resources Dept.

Wellbeing coverage often does now not quilt orthodontics or dental until it is a direct outcomes of accident or sickness. Often Dental plans handiest pay on traditional 1000-1500 per year highest, it doesn't matter what you have executed...I know that United Concordia (army Dental) will simplest pay 1000 towards braces...Hope this helps!
