Becuase it is a human tendency to blame someone rather than to own up to mistakes. Eve did it and so did Adam, but the serpent had no one to blame!

When you blame others, you don't have to take responsibility for your own actions. Also, instead of improving themselves, some people feel better about themselves when they try to bring other people down to their own level.

It's called a lack of maturity or self-discipline.

Because it is so much easier getting angry and acting indignant than to actually take a look at yourself and admit that either you have made a mistake, or that if you are not part of the solution to whatever is wrong, then you are part of the problem.

proboblaly because its others who tend to make the mistakes. i did nothing to start a war in iraq (for example) why should i blame myself?

i blame those in power.
