my friend and I want to convert some home movies that we taped onto another video tape.

There is a cartridge that would allow you to view them with your VHS VCR. To convert the video onto VHS permanently, you would use the AV jacks to hook the VHS-C camera directly to the VCR.. Put a blank tape in the VCR and hit Record, then press play on the cam (in playback mode).

get a VHS-C player, send A/V outputs to the A/V inputs of another VCR, hit play on the VHS-C, hit record on the other one. Have fun with those adapters!!
