I would get a second opinion. There is blood in the urine for a reason. Usually a uti, infection, stones, crystals, cancer. Any of those reasons left untreated can be fatal.

Cats can get what's called sterile cystitis. The lining of the bladder becomes inflamed and you see the blood in the urine. Steroids can help this. Another thing to think about is changing her diet to a hypoallergenic diet. Some vets believe this problem is related to allergens in the food affecting the bladder lining. I have seen it help some cats. The diet we used was IVD brands. I'm sure others would be beneficial though.

Good luck!

Since she doesn't have a UTI I wuld suggest swithcing her to a food with less fillers. Maybe a urinary tract specialty food. Hope she hets better. And I wouldn't think she is in any pain. The only other thing I cuold think is maybe kidney cancer. And that is because my little girl had kidney cancer and one symptom of it was blood in urine. Not sure if kidney cancer causes same in cats though.

If your cat is a male they seem to get a crystalization in their urinary tract from time to time. There are different cat foods out on the market (health food stores) that have dry cat food that helps the urinary tract to keep it in check. Ever since I put my male and females on the health food cat food they have been doing GREAT!!!!

Sounds like urinary tract infection.

Cats get them when the food they eat is high in ash content.

They make pet food that is specifically made for cats urinary tract health.

Try to buy some.

Lolipoplili is right. If you've already ruled out stones or a bladder infection, she might need steriods.
