I have always had bad luck doing it that way. I always just boil it for like 7-9 min and its always sooooo good! If you do it this way add a little sugar (teaspoon) to the water it makes it sweeter. Sorry I didn't really answer your question tho :(

put 3 or 4 ears in a corningware dish (covered with a couple of tablespoons of water) in the microwave. cook on high for 2 min X the number of ears.
3 ears = 6 min
4 ears = 8 min...
if they're not done to your satisfaction, you can always roll them over and cook them for another one or two minutes per ear. it's hard to screw it up, i promise!

I usually cook ONE about 6-10 minutes (depends on how lg the ear is). Make sure it is covered with plastic wrap to keep in the moisture.

It depends if it's ever been blanched, if not not it's better to cook it almost two times as long. If it's frozen even longer. normally about 1 1/2 min.

PUT IT IN A DISH W LIKE 2 INCHES OF WATER AND A LID TO STEAM IT FOR 9 MINUTES.... OR A ZIPLOC BAG SAME DIRECTIONS AS BOWL BUT DONT SEAL BAG
