I have not had direct dealings with JK Harris though I have heard of them and a quick search on this business shows a significant number of complaints. That doesn't mean that they are not a reputable company by any means just that there are some people not satisfied with their efforts. In all likelihood there are many, many more who are satisfied with their efforts.

What I would suggest is contacting a CPA or EA in your area. Ask friends and family for a recommendation and/or call around and ask questions about your specific problem and if it is something they have experience handling.

Most IRS Collection problems can be handled by the Taxpayer themselves if the money is owed and there is no dispute about it. You could also post a question here about the specific problem you are having and I am sure you will get several decent answers about what to do yourself.

I would do plenty of research on them before selecting them. I have heard that they have plenty of complaints and I believe that the IRS raided their offices at one time or another. Just be careful and maybe you want to select a tax attorney or CPA or EA to help you with your tax situation.
