i have just installed jave runtime ,so i could use the broadband speed test
is it safe,ive run both scanners(virus and spy)and their both fine,and i am told to expect updates
is java safe to use,it dosent mess with windows does it?
any info on java would be appreciated

Pretty safe, and won't interfere with windows. The question of safety resides with the software you want to run. I'd say that most java software you come across from reasonable, reputable souces will be safe.

The question "Is Java safe?" is like asking if a road is safe. It depends what runs on it of course.

Yes Java Is ok / most computers com with it already on there. mine did. alot of websites use it for graphics and music applets.And most is FREE.

i've never had any real trouble with java. Only problem i had was when i loaded firefox on my computer, i had to re-install java, shockwave, etc.
