like i said im in the military and girls i know dont like that and what am i supposed to do..... every time i meet a girl and then she finds out i am in the military she says that she wouldnt be able to deal with it so how am i supposed to talk to a girl......if i tell them im in the military they get scared but if i dont it wouldnt seem right?

I admire you for wanting to be honest and you should continue. The truth is that there are several issues connected to being involved with military personnel-
1. Duty may call them away from you
2. Some military personnel end up having more than one family because of the time and distance they aare away from home
3. There is the obvoius risk factor- your job is high risk and life threatening.
There are so much more but I am sure you get my drift.
However, don't beat yourself up, I am positive that you will meet that person who will accept you for who and what you are. Until then just enjoy the people and times that pass you by. Be proud that you have chosen this path in life because there are many out there who are not strong enough and I don't mean physically, I mean emotionally, spiritually, mentally, etc.

well most girls i know love military men! cuz they are stronge and brave! maybe your meeting the wrong girls. but if they do get scared of by it, its probably the thought of you going off to war if you guys end up dating, and they probably wont be able to handle worrying about you all the time. so you need a girl who will stand behind you 100% on what you do for our country. if you lie about being in the military or just "dont tell them" thats not right you shouldnt be ashamed of it, be proud your serving our country and if they cant handle it, find another girl who will! good luck

The right person will come along who will care about you and will accept what you do. I was married to a soldier and it takes a really strong woman to deal with the lifestyle. Don't give up!! She's out there and always be proud of your job! There are alot of us who are very proud of all of the men and women in uniform! Thank you for doing what you do! Good luck

speaking from someone that has dated guys in the military and am still good friends with them and their familys...they are probably scared about you going off to war...i have a good friend in the marine core that will be going to iraq in september...we are all scared to death...just explain it to them and if they are scared then theyre not right for you...that or they could be going off the old sayin "young, dumb, and full of ***" a lot of girls are that way so dont take it personal.

It's their tough problem - Don't ever feel like you should be sorry or ashamed for serving in the military.
You'll find someone. It just means you're weeding out the ones that can't aren't right for you. hang tough

there is nothing wrong with a military man. just i would say date someone that's in the military like you. so that way you two understand each others lifestyle.
personally i love them . i think its wonderful a boy left the nest to return home a man!
