Introducing a relationship to poligamy is frought with problems including trust, self esteem, etc. You risk eroding the fundemental principles of the relationship itself. Some people can make an open lifestyle work for their relationship. However, both people have to be brought into it strongly and both people have to be secure in their love, trust and sexuality.

The only way you'll pull this off for sure (with a minimum of repercussions) is if your wife is the first one to bring this subject up with you. Otherwise you'll probably never get past the frying-pan-upside-the-head phase of your plan (which, I assure you, no husband of mine would ever get past). Then you'd need to find a like-minded third party - preferably not someone the two of you already know well - and be completely honest, open and thorough with your plans and intentions.
Your chances of pulling the whole thing off are slim-to-none, though, dude. The overwhelming majority of wives would never tolerate this (which is why I think your only real hope is if your wife has mentioned the subject to you).
