Is he canadian? Got in trouble IN Canada?
I don't know how you can find where he is if you don't know his fmaily or anything. I can tell you though, that if he has committed a crime in Canada, and is not a US citizen, he will have trouble the rest of his life getting over the border. That could cause future problems for you in this relationship.
Think this relationship over very carefully. You may want to consider having a relationship with someone close to you, who is law-abiding.

call florida dept. of corrections and justice..they would have a central database with inmates
