There are a couple good websites you can check out. It's too hard to explain it without the visuals. :) Check out the websites listed below. Good luck! It takes practice, but you'll catch on quick!

OK I will attempt to explain this to you but it is really hard to put in words.
When you first start to french braid do pig tails,
1st part your hair
2nd on either your left or your right pick up a piece of hair from the front of your head and angle it to the back of your head up above your ear
3rd braid once
4th with the piece of hair on the bottom of your braid add some of the hair around it
5th braid again
6th repeat steps 4 & 5
when you get to the end put a hair bow in and do the other side.

The basics: You start with the hair at the top. Separate three small pieces at the top and braid that, then you firmly take the parts that come out and combine them with three more small pieces from the hair (two from the sides and one from the center of your head). Pull and grasp firmly again. Repeat the steps for the rest of your hair. At the end you tie with a hair elastic, you can also use hair pins to hold the hair on place on the sides.
Depending on the length of your hair you can have a long braid finished with a bow, or you can put the tail inside the hole that is made in the bottom of your head, do this carefully and with the help of hair pins. Then depending
on the type of your hair you can apply hairspray to hold it on place.

You may simply type in " how to french braid" in your search engine, and don't put ".com" behind it and tons of sites will pop up. Good Luck.

start with 3 sections of hair. (pull the top back and divide into 3).
right to the middle (over or under , but the same the whole way)
left to the middle.
more hair from the right side and add to what's already there, to the middle.
more hair from the left side and add to what's already there, to the middle.
and so on.
the biggest problem is hand/finger placement. i hold everything with my pinkies of the opposite hand.

start w/3 small sections of hair. keep weaving more hair in to the the first 3. u can go under or over, but have to stay w/way you start it. i honestly don't no if this helps. i learned by watching. watch someone that's the best way to learn.
