Some words have common sources. During the years some words are shared between nations. Whatever time is passing the common words will be much more, because nowadays doesn't have any distance between nations while we are using a lot of communication equipments, such as TV, Internet, Easy traveling, etc.
In Persian, we say:
Maman (Slang) = Mothar = Mother (English)
Baba (Slang) = Pedar = Father (English)
Barathar = Brother (English)
