well, I presume by gay you mean queer and not gay as in happy, although he could be a gay gay. If you notice your tights have suddenly grown a hole in the crotch region, or your bottle of Channel no 5 is going down rapidly, or perhaps you notice some hairs on your lipstick that aren't yours, then maybe you have some cause for concern. But the dead give-away is that book under the mattress 'the joys of anal sex', now THAT would make me wonder as well. Maybe that leather bikers cap and leather body harness are not meant for the two of you and a night of 'bridled passion'. What the hell anyway, we all have a right to be happy in any way we can as long as we don't hurt others, and i would suggest that you cheating on him, I imagine with a guy and not a lesbian fling, is actually far worse than your boyfriend harbouring some latent desire to be swept up in a pair of burley arms, pulled tight to a manly and hairy chest, and have a large instrument thrust eagerly into ..........well use your imagination, it seems you have a pretty vivid one !

Well some people have a feminie characteristics but that does not mean he is gay. Even having peracings does not mean he is gay.
Cheating on him means you are not in seriuos relationship with him. And just to dump him you are having this fears about it.
Discuss with him about what you think sort it out. It is better to break off then cheat. Be honest with him about it.
You can ask him if he is and you can leave him if he is.
