The ***** needs to die just like her poor innocent kids died! She needs to fry or die in the same manner that she killed her poor babies...I can't believe they are wasting the tax payers money to take the ***** to trial...It is clear she is guilty of killing her kids, and she needs to pay for what she did...

I can understand a mental condition. I can understand a heat of the moment killing. I still think severe punishment is needed in those circumstances.
But i cannot for one second believe that she didnt plan it, that she didnt realize what she was doing, or that she was sick enough to not know it was wrong to drown five concious struggling children. By the Fifth its obviously been meditated.
Especially since at one point she was sick enough to admit she needed (and was on) medication for her condition. I believe she should be held accountable, and so should the doctor that advised her to stop taking her medication.
Either way she will have to live with the misery of knowing she is a monster and ended the lives of her five beautiful children. She is in hell. Theres no doubt.

I'm from Houston and cant tell you how shocked i am that have of texas feels sorry for her? I've read and watched everything on this woman and can not understand how can the defense say she's insane? At the time of her trial my son was 8yrs old if your child is begging for his life yelling running down the hall, how can you not snap out of your "pyscho" moment and spare his life...lets say after the first one she drowned? Mind you she was not beaten by her husband nor was she on drugs (crack, heroin) you can not tell me being she's so insane she knew to feed her kids cereal then drown them an hour later? C'mon she is stupid if she needed help where in one of the largest cities in the states with resources for everything ....damn if she needed a babysitter just pick up the phone.l

I think she was just mixed-up. They need to let her out so she can go to a counselor once in a while and get her life back together again. By the time she gets out, she won't even be young enough to have more kids. It's a shame. She's a good woman deep down inside.

I think they should drown her in a bath tub but only let her get close to death and then revive her and then drown her again. They should do that 5 times and then let her die. OR they should make her watch the news story about her and nothing else for the duration of what's left of her human waste of space life.......

She should be put to death. She killed 5, under horrendous circumstance. Mental or not, that should have been enough of an experience in time alone to bring her to her senses. She's not mental. She's evil and deserves to die herself. Some bleeding hearts who do not believe in the death penalty may disagree. But I say she's not worth paying to keep her alive in prison or a mental hospital, to be taken care of nicely.

I think she should put her in a room with aquariums and pictures of her kids all over the walls.
She should be forced to bathe in that same tub every day for the rest of her life.
And she should never see the light of day again.
Death is too much of an easy way out for her.

I had a tiny case of postpartum depression. It made me weird, overwhelmed, weepy and passed in a couple of days. I don't think she was in control of her actions. I believe she loved her children. I believe she deserves to go to jail, but not for the maximum allowed and definitely not the death penalty (even though I am a believer in the death penalty). I believe her husband should share some of the responsibility for this horrendous tragedy.

I think she should stay in a mental hospital..obviously people knew of her illness and yet she was still allowed to be alone with the kids..I am saddened by the loss of the 5 innocent children..it kills me..but if she is sick then I believe she should stay in the mental ward..

I think she should be put to death. It doesn't matter whether she is crazy or not, no one has a right to kill anyone, much less a kid!
She needs to stop making up little sorry a** excuses and be a woman and plead guilty, because everyone knows that she killed her kids insane or not, that should be reason enough to put her to death.
