I'm using "Sunbelt Keiro Personal Firewall 4.3.xxx (2006 version)". In my opinion this is a good personal firewall, also I am using an anti-virus to protecting my computer.
While you using both of them, you won't have any trouble.
If you want to buy a package, I suggest you buying "Symantec" products. As I see in their website, they have a complete package, including Anti-virus, Spyware & Adware blocker and Firewall. I think it completely worth of it.
Take a look at here:

I have used a number of different versions of Kerio Firewall and all worked great. In Kerio version 4.x, there are two modes, standard and advance. In the standard mode, Kerio does most of the decision making for determing if a particular application can access the Internet. In the advance mode, Kerio will prompt you for a decision to either grant or forbid access. I tested Kerio Firewall with a number of online Firewall scanners and each time Kerio was able to stealth all the ports. I've used the standard mode and never experienced any problems. Kerio Personal Firewall was acquired by Sunbelt earlier this year and they continue to develop and support the product. Kerio is shareware and it will cost you $19.95 USD to buy but the free version has all the basic features you need and the commercial version has a few more options but it is more window dressing than anything else. PC Magazine has a review article about Kerio Personal Firewall and give it high marks.
"Kerio Personal Firewall gives users a choice – limited program control and no popups or powerful control and (initially) many popups. This flexibility makes it a good choice in many situations. Some features of the Pro version are disabled, but these aren't essential to the basic function of a personal firewall." -- pcmag.com

the reply is both convinced and no... Kerio is between the perfect firewalls next to Zone Alarm... Sunbelt Kerio recommends making use of their product for persons at the moment using the discontinued Sygate own Firewall (free). Kaspersky is between the utmost rated anti-virus courses. Even recommended through 2 laptop magazines I examine in the previous 2 months... the following is the position the no section is presented in. Your secure adverse to viruses and hackers, yet no longer undercover agent-ware w/ only those courses. some good anti-undercover agent ware courses are abode windows Defender (formally favourite as Microsoft antispyware beta), Lava-delicate ad-conscious, undercover agent-bot search for and spoil, Spywareblaster, and (yet another one in all sunbelt kerio's own line of product's) Counterspy. also if you're using Sunbelt Kerio own Firewall (both free or paid variations) 4.0 or above, you're 50% secure adverse to undercover agent-ware getting on the laptop in the first position... i wish this allows... Andy. --Be secure...
