It depends on what you like. If your idea of a holiday is great night life; this isn't the place for you. If you enjoy beautiful country; accommodating, fun and yet reserved people. History and natural beauty - all at affordable prices then by all means do plan a visit. I recommend Bled; Lublianja and Lipicia (home of the famous Lippizan horse stables). Postilinicja is great for underground caves etc.

I really liked it. It's scenic and very relaxing. The people are friendly enough too. The only drawback is that there isn't a lot of things to do for young children (although it could have just been where I was staying). Other than that, I really liked it.

Unfortunately I can only speculate, but as one who studied the Slovenian language years ago I would say you can't go wrong. The people are great, the countryside is old-worldish and the life is enjoyed.

It is nice and historic, however, Croatia (next door) has a beautiful coast along the Adriatic and is one of the most amazing places in the world.

It's the only area that the combatants don't attack or purposely injure persons due to that it is a prime income/revenue for which ever 'party/gang' ends up taking over said ''country''....( international relaysions...)....
