The end of the world will happen by one of these two methods:
1) The world will be destroyed by our syun when it swells up and becomes a red giant in about 5 billion years from now
2) Humans will annihilate every last living thing on the planet, so while the world isn't destroyed it is totally dead.
I don't know which one is more likely, but only the first option is the guaranteed sure thing.

The end of this world is when the Lord Jesus Christ come down to earth and sits on a White Throne to judge this world and to cast Satan and all the people that are in hell into the lake of fire. When this is over He creates a new heaven and a new earth. Revelation 20: 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. Revelation 20: 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. Revelation 20: 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Revelation 20: 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Revelation 20: 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 21: 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Nbody knows. Not even the angels in heaven. The main thing is not when the end of the world comes but ARE YOU PREPARED to move to heaven? Those who worry about the end of the world worry about this uncertainty that they may be caught not in their best behavior. However, being prepared takes a pure heart, pure conscience and not just being prepared to look good at the end.. God will not be fooled by this... Everybody's actions will condemn him/her and we won't be able to defend ourselves or lie as everything will be shown and will be very clear who is at fault.
SO
Another answer or another way to think about the end of the world is that THE END OF THE WORLD HAPPENS WHEN your life ends in this world. This can happen when you are young, old, rich, poor, in a good mood, bad mood, giving, selfish .. etc...
God is a merciful God that he gives everyone of us many chances to change ourselves for the better.. sometimes gently and sometimes he allows troubles and various incidents within our lives that makes us realize that we are heading the wrong path and find him as he said "I am the way, the truth and life".
Out of His mercy also, He picks his people to go or pass away in the best time in their life ; meaning when they are most good and following God's commandments and loving to others.

First it was going to be January 1, 2000. A few weeks ago, a lot of people would have said June 6, 2006 (you know the whole 666 thing?).
I think it will be April 8, 2036, but that's just a guess.

I honestly think it's no more then 10 years away. gosh if u really think from day 1...god made adam ,then end times its here. satan is here n he's going after the powerfulest man their is, thats the 3rd antichrist, time is flying ppl , this world is curupt and is dying slowly but we ppl dont realiz it, The King of Kingz is on his way repent is all he wants u to do have faith he's ur god and mine but hey im doing what i have 2 do 2 go 2 The Kingdom of god and all yall who read this read the bible thats gods proof and if u aint down wit that i got 2 words 4 ya......SUCK IT!

When God wills it to be. Don't listen to those end times doomsayers, They listen to fear and allow it to govern their lives, The christian God is a God of love and mercy, and not of fear and foolishness.
So sad that so many so-called believers try to use scare-tactics and hate to try to force others to agree with them.
