I have a 5 mo old Cocker Spanial puppy, she is a very good dog except I think she might be deaf or at least hard of hearing. She will come to me if she see's me motion to her but if she can not see me I can screem and yell and she won't so much as move. I know I need to take her to the vet but I won't be able to do that untill next month. So in the meantime, what could I do to maybe get her to come to me when i call, it's getting really frusterating!

When his back is turned to you than clap your hands when he liest expect it. if he turns around then he was just ignoring you. Never slap your hands on the floor when you are testing his hearing.

Most likly your dog is deaf. Not much you really can do but live with it. What color is you cocker? If it is a rare color that could be why because when you get a color so rare things come out that you don't know about that is just how genitics work. Has you dog always been like this or is it new.

Have the ears been kept clean?

the first step in being a to blame breeder is to comprehend and attempt to eliminate genetic well-being complications on your dogs. Breeding to a deaf dogs would not be to blame. i assume that deafness is a genetic difficulty contained in the yank Bulldog by using their shade. White Boxers are also usually born deaf. If this male's deafness is genetically suitable you is purely no longer doing the breed a opt for by passing on his genes.

You can clap your hands behind the dogs head and see if there is a reaction, if not, the vet is your next step.
