So why do christians and creationists INSIST that dinosaurs can be in the bible because "if people lived to be 900+ years old, then reptiles were alive at least half as long, and how big do you think they would have gotten?"
Everywhere "dinosaurs in the bible?" question brings these idiots out of the woodwork, saying all matter-of-factly about it that "well reptiles don't stop growing and" blah blah blah blah...
REPTILES STOP GROWING am i right?
i mean if they didn't we'd have dinosaurs today!
Right???
Seriously...i'm tired of these idiots making ME feel stupid....so i implore ALL of you to answer this question once and for all....
Do reptiles stop growing?
READY???
GO!!!

i would like to see this "lack of proof" for evolution....
what is it?
oh wait wait, i know the answer....
"If we evolved from monkeys...then why are there still monkeys?"
i'll answer that for you...
Evolution doesn't say ALL of one animal disappears to make room for the new one...
IN FACT, if you did your research, instead of just looking at the God side of things, you'd know that evolution is all about BRANCHES...
go outside...look at a tree....
branches fork out, right?
but HEY WAIT!
the forks KEEP GROWING!!!
imagine the point where they meet as being where humans and apes split.
humans kept the branch growing, and evolving (there IS proof of cavemen...along with mastadons and sabre-tooth tigers)
and apes kept THEIR branch growing and evolving(theres ALSO proof of ancient primates.)
what there ISN'T is what's referred to as a "missing link" and just because we haven't found it yet, doesn't mean we won't.

And before people jump on the whole "missing link" scenario...
the reason we haven't found a DEFINITIVE one (there have been some possibilities)
is because evolution takes THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS of years...
to happen across the right fossils, from the right era, in the right place is a like finding a needle in a stack of needles....
but yeah, you're right...
there's MORE PROOF for the whole "woman from a man's rib" theory...

alright alright...people were being picky about the whole "stop growing" thing...
I mean SIZEWISE...all animals get to be a certain size before they stop getting bigger...
i know lizards grow back tails, and scales, and i know we keep growing nails, and hair even for minutes (some say days) after we die...
I'm talking about size.

no one has EVER called a lunar cycle a year...
just because theres no snow doesn't mean there isn't a winter SOLSTICE.
what civilizations ever called a lunar cycle a "year?"
and that has nothing to do with lizards growing til the end of time.
but i guess i'm the idiot, idiot.

There aren't any dinosaurs in the bible. They just look back at comments about dragons and say 'See dinosaurs! We knew it all along.'. Um, no.
By the way, there are unicorns in the bible:
Num 23:22 God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.
Well, now we all know that unicorns exist. Thank you informative and fact filled bible.

Actually, we don't stop growing, our ears and noses continue to grow throughout our lifetimes. I'm sure every animal has a "stop growing" limit, notwithstanding the ears and noses thing. That tortoise that just died (saw it on the news) was the oldest on record, and though she was a big old girl, I don't think she became monster sized.
I don't really get the dinosaur thing here, must have missed that stuff, but I could have sworn they were wiped out in the ice age, so why would they have still been around the mid-east in biblical days, which were way past the ice age? The bible mentions a behometh, but it never clarifies what that was, could have been a hippo for all I know. The word dinosaur didn't exist yet.
I really don't get the whole "people were 900 years old so reptiles had to live 1/2 as long" thing? Why would that be? Is that some old law I never heard, that animals have to live 1/2 as long as humans? If so, why don't my dogs make it over 16 years old?

Actually dinosaurs broke into two categories, meat eaters and plant eaters. Some were warm blooded and others were not. It all depended on the enviroment each species was in. As for the dinosaurs, they were wiped out because a huge meteor landed in what we now call the gulf of Mexico.
I have never seen a reference to dinosaurs in the bible. Man was not around at the end of the Mesozoic period when the dinosaurs were pretty much killed off. Man, as in homo sapiens, has only been around for the last 50,000 to 100,000 years. Of course we know about Lucy who was around 1 million years ago.
Reptiles do not stop growing. If a lizard loses its tail, then a new one grows back. Heck, you can cut a worm in half and end up with two worms as they will heal up and end up that way.
It is amazing people claiming that Adam lived 900 years because a book says so. All geologic proof so far shows that early man only lived into his 30's or so. People were dying even in the dark ages that early and rarely did you have anyone living into their 80's. It has only been recently that we have moved into longer life spans. Just think, one day man will live till they are 900 years old.

There are some reptiles that do grow their entire lives such as certain snakes, tortoises, and crodilians, but most do not. Even for the ones that do, the rate of growth diminishes as they age, so there is still a limit on their size even if they lived thousands of years. The bones of these animals are not adapted to immense size, so they would die under their own weight long before they got to dinosaur size.

A better argument to dinosaurs in the Bible is that there are no cats in the Bible. Does that mean they don't/didn't exist?
If they don't exist then we are all in trouble because there are little creatures that we thought were cats living among us.
If they didn't exist then that proves from a Biblical standpoint that evolution actually does exist.
If they existed but just weren't mentioned in the Bible... OH NO!!! THE HORROR!!! IMAGINE WHAT ELSE COULD BE TRUE!!!!

You're tired of he idiots making you feel stupid ??????? Boy you're doing a great job all by yourself. What in hell does all of that dinosaur gibberish have to do with anything ?
About people living to be nine hundred years old, that's not that terribly old. In the warmer parts of the world the year was not divided by summer and winter, instead they called a year the time from full moon to full moon, twenty eight days. About seventy, still quite old for those days.

Algae is sweet and organic in uncomplicated phrases you do not favor it taking on. What motives algae to strengthen is only too a lot person-friendly. once you've a person-friendly on for the tank and it really is left on for more advantageous than 4 or 5 hours an afternoon then alage will over take the tank. also don't have the tank in direct photo voltaic. you extremely do not favor chemical substances for this. swap the person-friendly off for as a lot as 4 days yet..go away heating and clear out on for your turtle. Switching off the person-friendly will decelerate the boom of algae. Then on a each day foundation, you could initiate from day one, use a magnetic glass purifier made for fish and puppy tanks. only sleek the magnetic purifier round and it takes to the air the algae. Rinse less than operating water. warm or chilly which ever you want. safeguard your tank weekly through doing this, even if you spot the algae. After 4 days of having the tank lighting fixtures off, turn the person-friendly on at a series time and stale at a series time. submit to in innovations no more advantageous than 4 - 5 hours of sunshine on a each day foundation. also no lighting fixtures at nighttime..this also applies to anybody who has fish. Animals and reptiles favor day and nighttime cycles.

It does not matter. Even if a crocodile grew for 900 years to a mammoth size, he would still not be a dinosaur. It's just another foolish attempt by theists to bring science and religion together. The problem is they don't mix.

If humans lived 900+ so did reptiles. Equality and justice
If humans live -120 so do reptiles. Equality and justice
Now, reptiles are the only animals that constantly grow til' their last days. Humans stop growing at around -25.
But, you are seeking the wrong questions. Let your heart decide on what to seek, not your mind...........

Yes. Reptiles stop growing.
Of course - this doesn't mean the end of their argument. If people used to live several hundred years, and no longer do, they can always claim that reptiles stop growing now, but they didn't used to.
