Is it the soda that you want to give up or the caffiene? You are experiencing caffiene withdrawal headaches. If you only want to give up soda, go ahead and drink tea or another caffienated drink. Green tea is good--it does have caffiene unless it specifically says caffiene free.

If your goal is giving up caffiene, you'll just have to suffer through the headaches. Take a pain reliever and drink lots of water or decaf tea.

It's most likely caffeine headache. Upper front of the head?
You might try a weak or lightly caffeinated tea (like oolong) or something with a little caffeine to come down slowly (not soda though). It should only last a few days at most. Caffeine is a drug and headaches are the result of going off cold turkey. I support you. It's tough. An addiction many folks have.

It takes about 3days to go through any detox of any stimulant. carbonation and caffeen are stimulants. I did the same thing to lose weight. and it took me about 3 days until i quit getting headaches. try not to do it all cold turkey. drink about 4oz of carbonation every 4-6 hrs. this might help with the headaches. then gradually decrease the amount every day by 1oz. hope this helps ya.

should only last a day or two if it's caffeing withdrawal. although withdrawal is the wrong word to use, as it's not an addiction, rather it's just the caffeine leaving your system.

green tea has some caffeine, so it will alleviate the symptoms, plus it's tasty and has other benefits

Its because your body is going through caffeine with drawls, you just have to keep with it and wait it out until your body gets used to it. in the mean time take an over the counter pain med, like Excedrin, that has a little caffeine in it, this will help with the headaches until your body calms down.

Are you sure it has something to do with your headaches? Better see a doc, such matters are serious to be answered via net by people who are not physicians
