Yes, and you can quote it when you stone your children to death for talking back, too.

That's one of the double standards that Christians use. In the New Testamant, Jesus himself says that he did not come to banish the old law, and that nothing shall pass the law until god's work is completed. This makes every last part of the Old Testamant totally relevant and (one could even go as far as saying) contractually binding as part of the Christian faith. If a Christian does not follow the laws of the Old Testament, then he is a hypocrite and not a Christian.

You can quote anything from the bible you wish but the fact remains the Christ died for you which brought about the new convenant.

If you were to follow the old law then you would be under the mosiac law and be doing animal sacrafices and all that.

But if your asking do you have to follow Christ then the answer is no you don't have to follow his word unless you expect to get into heaven.

If you are homophobic, and you act on it in a negative way, that is a sin. As are the homosexual acts

Who told you the Law was void? Jesus came to fulfill The Law not void it... He just gave us a much simpler form to make it easier to remember... "...Love thy neighbor as thyself"

we are released from the cerimonial laws. and the dietary laws. But not The Law.

Jesus' death does not mean that we as Christians do not have to follow the Old Testament. Jesus said that He came to fulfill the prophecies of the OT. He said that to Him the OT was God's Word, and as followers of Christ we should follow it too. Any way, it's not just Leviticus that condems homosexuality!

Of course. God called homosexuality a "abomination" This is one of the strongest words in the Bible. Just because Jesus came and died for our sins doesn't mean that God all of a sudden thinks what used to be an abomination is now perfectly okay. And people who say "but that's not love!" God said "love is the fulfillment of the law". a.k.a. God's word is law.

homophobia = fear of homosexuals....?

What does this have to do with the book of leviticus condemning homosexuality as a sin. Everyone I know is a sinner by nature. I am a sinner by nature. I am not afraid of them because they sin, but because Christ has died and been raised again, and God's spirit done its work in my heart, I am no longer bound to the law (and hence condemned by it) but am bound to Christ and free to obey the whole law.

The bible says homosexuality is a sin... That does not give any Christian a right to be homophobic and hate a homosexual person however, but neither does it mean that just because Christ said "love your neighbor as yourself" we have to condone and accept their sin.

Do you really need a reason to be who you are?
For a religious person the only laws you need to follow are the big 10 which do come from the "old" book.

Look dude, you cant quote the bible to be homophobic. The teachings of the bible are about love, not homophobia. you can quote the bible as a reason to befriend a gay person, if you want. But noone is really going to give you any credit if you quote it to be exclusionary, and prejudiced. Hitler tried to do that, you know..

Jesus didn't die so you wouldn't have to follow the old testament you follow all or noon. The Mosaic Laws are gone not the ten commandments or the old testament. Your are being a hypocrite Jesus referred back to the Old testament all the time explaining it.
