little kids are very curious about the world (as if you couldn't tell by the billion questions they ask). they like to know what's going on every moment of the day. not to mention, they're younger then us and have more energy. and as previously stated, sugar does help that a lot.

They would like to experience as much in so little time. By the time they grow up, then they can relax and sit on the couch with a bowl of potato chips.

Same reason teens can't stay away from myspace or constantly chatting on the cell phones, or typing text messages.
The real question is why can't teenagers speak and write English in the correct manner? You're the best the school system can offer??

because they are very courious of there surroundings, you were a little kid once and didnt you move around. they like to explore and use there imagination. i have three children and there is no sitting still for them unless they are asleep.

Becasue their little brains go a mile a minute and they just can't sit still while thinking...lol

They aren't meant to sit still... they're kids and they are program to be active. When they are active they are learning.. but you can encourage them to do activies that are quiet once in awhile.

They are still discovering new things. This is the only way for them to learn things. This is why there are so many children's museums all over the place.

Kids have high energy. They are small, so they don't tire as easily.
