An occasional night without sleep never killed anyone. But this can turn into an addiction that can rob you of sleep on a regular basis. Then it can adversely affect your immune system making you more likely to get sick. Some hormones that boost the immune system get released only during deep sleep.

Harpo: (pulls out a candle lit a both ends)

Groucho: "Well, I was wrong. I knew there was something you couldn't burn at both ends. I thought it was a candle."

The lack of sleep is unhealthy. Going for a whole 24 hours is really nothing at all. There are plenty of jobs that require being up for 24-36 hours at a time. However, If you go without sleep for several days, say four days, then you will more than likely start hallucinating
at some point if you don't fall asleep before that.

That is very bad. You need 8 hrs of sleep every night. It will lead to a lot of health related issues down the road.
Remember once you lose your health, you cannot buy it back !
Also, no sleep or not enough sleep is shown to cause accidents on the roads and gaining weight.

From what I have learned, sleep is one of the most vital parts of staying healthy and alert. If you don't have enough of it you can end up in a bad accident when driving or if needing to pay special attention at certain times, you will end up failing to be able to either learn properly or act accordingly. Hence, its always in your best interest whether for health reasons or otherwise to make sure you're sleeping enough hours to be coherent.

It is usually because I am on this???? What are you on? And why do you think that being on 'this' is what is keeping you awake?

I would worry more about your abysmal grasp of the English language than missing 24 hours of sleep to be quite honest.

Yes, sleep give the body and organs a chance to slow down and recouperate after a the day's excitements. Missing a few winks won't kill you, but If they don't have the opportunity to rest, they wear down. Also, as a note, you do most of your growing while you sleep. ;)

Yes. When you are sleeping you are recharging your body to be ready for daily activities, such as work and exercise. Also, at night while you are sleeping, the brain is making everything you learned that day easier to remember.

sleep deprivation can make you irritable, tired, have less focus, a lower frustration level, and exhibit behavior that’s more emotional and impulsive. Sleep deprivation at any age can impair metabolism, immune functions, and motor skills, increase stress hormones, and cripple sugar metabolism.

Nothing to worry about. It's not doing you any good, but probably no lasting harm. Try to balance your sleep throughout the week.
