All of the cruise lines hire staff people from all over the world. The lines can sometimes have people from 200 different countries in postions from cooks to security and cruise directors and entertainers.
You need to just visit the cruise line web sites and then click on the link that says employment or human resources. They will tell you how to find jobs with them.

Absolutely. Cruise lines have some of the most diverse employees of just about any occupation. I've seen someone from just about every country while on a cruise, I actually find that there are very few American's working onboard.
But there should be no problems for you to get a job onboard a ship.

Absolutely! The majority of crew on board ships is "international," meaning from other countries besides the United States. In fact, on my last cruise, my favorite bartender was from India, he was so awesome! Just visit the websites of the cruise lines to find out the employment information. Also, check out Royal Caribbean. The crew quarters on their ships are some of the best at sea.

I can believe that Americans might make up a majority of cruise ship passengers, but the employees on cruise ships are from all over the world. When I cruise, I enjoy getting to know my waiter, busboy and other cruise ship employees from other countries. I once had a waiter from Ukraine, my father's homeland.
I don't know of any reason why you would not be welcomed to apply for a cruise ship job.

At least 20% of any larger cruise ship crew are Indian nationals. I have met some of them working as recruiters.

We had a young Indian woman as a waitress on the Norwegian Star last November. You might apply to Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL).

Sure they can! Out of the cruises I've taken in my life (all Carnival Cruise lines) they have such a diverse group of employees, I never met one employee from the state I was from, most of them in fact were from other countries...That's part of what makes it so much fun. Apply and I hope you get the job. Good luck :-)

I don't think it matters / most of the workers are from Philippines, Jamaica, Mexico,,Honduras, England, etc...the travelers were the ones that were Americans on the ships I took,,, most were from places...even the captain, and crew were from other countries.
( the kid camp counselors and event coordinator I think were Americans...along w/ the dancers....)
