What exactly is a "teenage life"? Perhaps if you put some effort into showing her that you are responsible and you earn her trust, she'll start allowing you more freedoms. I would suggest talking to her about it. Perhaps ask her for a curfew so that you can go out with friends (a movie, the mall, someone's house with parental supervision) and then prove to her that she can trust you by not getting in trouble and coming home on time. Pick up a few chores around the house to help out; you're growing up so it is time for you to pull your weight and show it.

A 14 year old isn't entitled to live a "teenage life". Does that mean you go where you want when you want with who you want? If she's a good Mother she'll never let you do that. You get privileges and her trust by earning them. You're allowed to do something you want and then you show her that whatever rules she gives you are followed. Then little by little you'll get to have more of a "teenage" life. Whatever that is.

Just stop telling her that you're not a baby and act mature. I'm 14 and in a couple of days I turn 15 and my family treats me like 21 and it really isn't good. Enjoy and stop worrying about how your mom treats you because for her you will always be her baby.

I'm 13 and my parents treat me like an adult. I usually have to cook, clean, and babysit. Enjoy not being treated like an adult because it isn't very fun, but if your mom is really treating you like a baby talk to you mom. Maybe if you show her that you are responsible, she could give you a little freedom. If my advice works don't grow up to fast, you should enjoy being young.

Remember your mom just wants you to be safe and happy but you have to tell her that she should let you have some freedom. You should be happy you are loved!

maybe you could have a heart to heart talk with your mom over lunch or just sit in a quiet place and talk. discuss your issues and maybe come to some compromises. Yes, at 14; you still have alot of maturing to do.... but; on the other hand; we are all human beings and are all worthy to have our own opinions and to be valued as individuals. Your opinions, wants, and needs are worth discussing with your mom. Just remember, it is still your moms job to try and lead you in the direction that she feels will best serve you in your future... good luck

remember; your mom is a very valuable person too

obey and remember mother knows best. you are not a baby but yet fooling around with a boy the wrong way you can make one. your mom doesn't want you to make a mistake. and guys have to becareful too. making sure they dont make babies get arrested etc. teenagers do stupid things unfortunately and only SMART PARENTS GUIDE THEM THE RIGHT WAY. lots of teenagers end up pregnant and in jail because the parents "WON'T LET THEM LIVE A TEENAGE LIFE".

I was 18 with a curfew of midnight. At the time, I hated it and thought my parents were unfair, I mean, I was 18! Now that I'm parent, I see that they did it because they loved me. Granted, they should have trusted me more, they still had my best interest at heart. You're lucky, too many parents just don't care anymore, you're loved.

Show her that your responsible enough to do some thing you want to do. You can also comprimise about some things. But both of you have to know what things are okay and not okay.
