I think as long as you don't use a bristle brush you'll be ok. If you use a vent brush it will be fine, it's not different to a wide toothed comb.

It's terrible to brush your hair when it's wet. When your hair is wet it's vulnerable to breakage and snaps easily and using a brush only pulls it out. Using a very wide toothed comb is the best way to comb wet hair and start combing from the ends and work your way up to your scalp, DON'T comb from your scalp down 2 the ends when your hair is wet because it also pulls your hair out and breaks it off. Working your way up from the ends removes all the tangles with the least amount of stress to your hair. If you can, just towel dry and wait until it's completely dry to comb it is ulitmately the healthiest for your hair as even with a comb there will occasionally be some breakage to strands that are already damaged and weakened.

VERY GOOD QUESTION. Fortunately for me, I have a mom that is a cosmetologist and who used to work at a salon. She told me early on that it is terrible to brush your hair when it is wet. It leads to split ends and soooo much breakage.
You need a wide toothed plastic comb. Also, start at the bottom of your hair and work your way up. It will be a lot less painful that way! Don't forget to use conditioner and then you won't have so many painful snarles! =)

No - you should always use a wide tooth comb, also called a shampoo comb or a tint comb, when your hair is wet. Wet hair can stretch from 50 to 70 percent (for real - i was surprised when i learned this as well) when it is wet and can easily break

No, a brush stretches the hair and causes it to break. Use a wide toothed comb.

No I would use a comb. When you do comb it well it is wet start from the bottom to the top because then you won't pull a lot of your hair out.

Ya! I do it all the time! It is a lot easier to brush when wet rather than when dry! And my hair is beautiful! Everyone is always like " How did you get your hair sooo smooth?"
