If you accept through faith that science is accurate, will never disprove itself, that it is truth, you have a belief that it it true.

If you accept through faith that the Bible is accurate, (or whatever religious text you follow), that God will never disprove himself, that it is true, you have a belief that it is true.

Neither argument can be proven to the other side, so why do we keep asking for proof? There is faith and belief no matter what you follow, but on neither side proof that is universally accepted. The whole basis of belief in any argument is faith it is true, so cant we just get over the "give me proof" thing? It will never happen in this life.

If you really want proof the opposing argument to you own is false, disprove it.

To believe that we have evolved into the unique, complex beings that we are just by sheer accidental cell reproduction is just too mind boggling for me to accept the strict scientific theory.

Personally, I know God is my Creator and have seen lots of proof in my life. I have seen, first hand, that he answers prayers, allowing things to happen that would not have been possible by "happenstance".

I don't want to dispute science and I don't feel a need to. I'm happy.

First off, they are not asking for more proof. They are asking for more war between the sides. Keep in mind that believing is only the first step. It is the step to knowing. That is the problem with most people. They just stick to just believing and asuming they know. They usually do not. The reason for believing is to take that step, that start to the effort to help know. It is much like a rumor - or should I say, it is a rumor? But that is what you start off with. Then if you cannot find it, but something else, then you know. Then you go and find something else, believe it. Pretend it is true. Just so you can see if it really is. The problem with people is they become attached to the belief. Attached to something made up and superficial. If you know, then you know, and there is no need to prove it. You know, why should you?

Religion is for the heart and science is for the mind. One must bring these together to find the full truth. Seeing is believing, yes, but eventually you must believe to see.

Hope this helps to clarify things. Cheers!

I believe in science because it works. Cars run, airplanes fly, the sun rises in the morning, thunderstorms and tornados are predicted with increasing accuracy--all thanks to science. Also, claims of science can be tested and either accepted or junked.

Can any supernatual religion or god-belief claim this? I think not.

I have never seen is a supernatual healing such as the renewal of a severed limb--nothing that could have not happened natually anyway. There is no evidence for supernatual religion.

I accept that the scientific method is mostly accurate, but science allows itself to be corrected in perpetuity. Your other points are mostly valid.

Most people who hold science in esteem consider it to be a mutable thing.
