ALL states require insurance...and on a financed vehicle it usually states in the loan agreement that you must have full coverage (because if you are in a wreck it is there to protect them and you so you would not have to pay for a wrecked car and so they don't have to worry about you not paying on it if it is broken..)If you break the lease agreement by not having full coverage insurance on your car they can legally come and take the car away or add the price of insurance to your loan amount...and they are a lot more expensive

Insurance is a old Con game that steals money from the person who wants to play the game. In Texas you don't need car insurance if you have at lest $20,000 in a bank account just to cover a accident. all car Co. require car insurance if you are buying the car, not the state. The Con's all ways win. Sorry.

As far as I know, all states require you to have insurance. And on a financed car, if you only have PL PD, your lender will insure the car for you...not a good idea!
Get insurance, keep insurance. You are better off with it than without.

I think all states require Car Insurance (unless you have $100, 000) In back held in a bond. If you finance car from dealership or get an auto loan, you have to haev full coverage. You can take regular loan and get partial coverage. The APR rated tend to be higher though. check out gmac123.com they hae some decent rates, all is done online, you can even print ins card!

I don't know what states don't require insurance - I thought all of them had some form of requirments. (It's crazy not to have coverage!)

As for coverage on a financed car - you MUST have full coverage on the car for at least as long as the loan is for. The banks require it and it's often a stipluation of the loan.

I'm pretty sure you have to have insurance in any state you're in, could be wrong though. And yes if you purchase a new car from a dealership and finance it, you have to have full coverage.
