I have been dating this guy for six months. Everything was going great until about three months into the relationship, he said that he needed space. I figured he was like the rest: Hit it and run. So I gave him a couple of weeks before I told him I was late. I wanted to hurt him like he hurt me. I preyed on his fear of getting me pregnant. I wish that I hadn't told him a lie because it turns out that he really does care about me, wasn't in it for just for sex and he really DID need his space. 'Pregnancy' issue aside, he has been there for me through other things. This whole lie has spun out of control and created a lot of drama between us. I feel so guilty. (He doesn't think I am 'pregnant' anymore because I told him that I had an abortion.) Last night, I realized his genuine concern for me and that he is a good man. Amazingly enough, he still wants to be with me after all this drama. However, he still needs space to sort out some unresolved issues. Should I tell him the truth?

I just want to clarify a few things: We rushed into the sexual aspect of the relationship and never got to know each other. Then he wanted space and I was on such an emotional rollercoaster because he kept going back and forth with his decision. One minute he wanted to be with me and the next he didn't. That's what made me think that he was running game. I didn't discover until after I told the lie that he really did need his space to clear his head and make sure he was doing the right thing. It's not like I'm this monster or vindictive b*tch - I made an error in judgment and am wondering if it is worth it to tell him the truth. Won't it make the situation worse?

Ya see why I never lie. One lies lead to another and another and another. I think he will not trust you because of the UNECESSARY lie. What happens the next time you dont get your way? Will he believe you? You created a monster and you think tooo much. All this tells me is you really dont know him and it may be too late because he sounds like a good guy. You must deal with the consquences of your actions. BUT yes, even if you lose him forever you need to confess the truth.

Learn a big lesson. Never, never lie about anything. It always haunts you and makes you a smaller person. I think when you tell him the truth it will be over. You really couldn't blame him, it's hard to plan a life with a liar. Let this help you grow as a person.

Ya that would be a good thing. Wish I could get closure like that. Just remember being pregnant isn't a game(or making someone think that you are) and shouldn't be used as a tool to hurt someone. What if this guy really wants to be a Dad.

Oh, man. U know what? If you tell him the truth, you won't have to worry about being discovered some day, which could happen. You'll risk losing him, but I think your honesty will redeem you. Just don't play more games. Doesn't look good.

Why is it you ladies expect the guy to be honest and tell you the truth but, think it is ok to make up "stories" when you feel it is right with you? Yes, tell him the truth and be ready for him to walk away...it would serve you right if he did! If he decides to stick with you...you better never...I mean NEVER lie to this guy again and pray to god for being so lucky to find a guy like him!!!!

TOTALLY tell him. Honesty is the best answer my friend. Relationships can only last on truth. If he does care about you he will understand why you had to lie to him. Hope things work out.

If you want to be with him then don't tell him, it would definitely end then. But look, you need to let him go and figure out what he wants, you messed up and now this is gonna be the deciding factor if the relationship is gonna last or not.

honesty is a key to a better relationship.. he'll know the truth even though it takes a long time, I think it's better for you to tell him the truth now and apologize, the worse, he'd realize it by himself or someone would tell him and your relationship just leave a memory then....

You owe it to him to tell him the truth but if you do, be prepared to lose him. He sounds like a great guy but after all the drama, he is gonna be pissed that you did that to him!!

The truth shall set you free. You should do that, because it seems that he does really care about you, and its best to give him some space. I do that with my boyfriend, and he really does appreciate it.
