I know of this married woman who was rapped in her own apartment, but did not cry out for fear of her childrens saftey.

I know I'm supposed to stone her to death, but my throwing aim is really bad. Is there an alternative method of killing her that God would allow me to use?

You "Story makes NO sense" why would crying out harm the Children? She should scream in a effort to protect the children from him.

If you state the whole passage (your bias is showing) you will see both were condemned. Him for the act her because she did nothing to stop it. Have you never heard of false rape charges?
This was a way to show that she was a victim.

Deuteronomy 22:24
24 you shall take both of them to the gate of that town and stone them to death—the girl because she was in a town and did not scream for help, and the man because he violated another man's wife. You must purge the evil from among you.

A virgin pledged to be married was to be treated like a married woman. It was assumed that the sexual union which took place in a town was not rape but adultery (i.e., the girl gave her consent). If it had been a case of rape her screams for help would have been heard whether or not she could have been rescued. If the assault occurred out in the country, then the betrothed girl was given the benefit of doubt and only the man was put to death. Rape was considered as serious as murder and therefore deserving of death.

You have to understand the context in which the scripture is in. This was just common laws back then, times haved changed and no one in their right mind would od this anymore.

I think you need to read a few more chapters and verses. She is guilty of nothing. She has not sinned and is not to be stoned. The rapist however must either marry her or pay her worth to her father. This day and time that could be in the millions of dollars. He can also go to a city of safe haven (prison). If he ever leaves prison he can be killed by anyone who sees him.

The best laws for people to live by are those that are stated in the Bible. Many may not agree but all law is actually based upon the laws given in the written Old Testament. In most instances they make more since than the laws written today.

You seem to only read part of the scriptures:
Here is the rest.
note especially verse 26

22 If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die, both the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.
23 If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her;
24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
25 But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die:
26 But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:

(Old Testament | Deuteronomy 22:22 - 26)

Hope this answer you question. Only the adulterers deserve to died, not someone got raped.

Imacman is correct.

God takes sex outside of marriage very seriously. He doesn't condone it. He had strict penalties for the willing offenders.

In the Bahamas they do not have any rape. The punnishment is too high. The last man that raped a woman was in the 1970's. He was whipped to death by a cat-o-nine tails.

Clearly someone is taking this out of context. Clearly if you were being raped you would yell. Somebody would have heard her. However, if she were consentual and didn't want to get caught she wouldn't scream. People like to make up these far fetched ideas to try to prove that God is unloving or wrong. Let me tell you that there will come a day when you will KNOW that God is perfect and holy. You will bow down and call him Lord.

if you aren't a jew, then you aren't bound by the law. also, since Christ fulfilled the law, it is no longer binding and this rule no longer applies. we are now bound to follow the laws of our government.

Rom 13:1 Obey the rulers who have authority over you. Only God can give authority to anyone, and he puts these rulers in their places of power.
Rom 13:2 People who oppose the authorities are opposing what God has done, and they will be punished.
Rom 13:3 Rulers are a threat to evil people, not to good people. There is no need to be afraid of the authorities. Just do right, and they will praise you for it.
Rom 13:4 After all, they are God's servants, and it is their duty to help you. If you do something wrong, you ought to be afraid, because these rulers have the right to punish you. They are God's servants who punish criminals to show how angry God is.
Rom 13:5 But you should obey the rulers because you know it is the right thing to do, and not just because of God's anger.
Rom 13:6 You must also pay your taxes. The authorities are God's servants, and it is their duty to take care of these matters.
Rom 13:7 Pay all that you owe, whether it is taxes and fees or respect and honor.

1Pe 2:13 Keep all the laws of men because of the Lord; those of the king, who is over all,
1Pe 2:14 And those of the rulers who are sent by him for the punishment of evil-doers and for the praise of those who do well.
1Pe 2:15 Because it is God's pleasure that foolish and narrow-minded men may be put to shame by your good behaviour:
1Pe 2:16 As those who are free, not using your free position as a cover for wrongdoing, but living as the servants of God;
1Pe 2:17 Have respect for all, loving the brothers, fearing God, honouring the king.

I am very surprised, if she was "rapped" then she should have joined in and be the "rapper" that she could be. Maybe an "MTV" award would help instead of stoning her. By the way, are you stoned? Please be nice, Rape is a horrible thing for a woman to go through. Peace and Love

I can tell you have not studied the bible. If you had studied the bible the answer would be clear.
Deuteronomy 22:24 is before Jesus died for everyone's sins. All she and the rapist has to do is beg God for forgiveness. We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God. We must all repent.

Yah, the alternative method would be to ask for God to forgive the man of his sins and (if she feels that she sinned) to ask for forgiveness as well.

Jesus' death on the cross made a way for us to be forgiven and live under grace. Before this, people had to live under the law, and blood had to be shed for forgiveness (animal or human depending on the situation) but since Jesus shed His blood for all, forgiveness and grace is available and death is no longer the way to forgiveness, repentance is.
