There is a Special spray that you can spray on your dogs ear and whole body, they sale them everywhere, ask someone in the store, other wise, mix water and salt and wipe his ears with a cotton ball.

I bought some lotion from the vet that works best, but you can also find fly repellent for dogs and horses at pet stores and even farm supply stores, like Tractor Supply or Farm & Fleet. Citronella is natural, and can help, but depending on how vicious the flies, you may need something more. I wouldn't use anything for humans without checking with the vet first, though.

Put a little Vaseline on the dogs ears we do that with our German Shepherd and she never has flies.

We used SEVIN DUST.....its in the garden area and is used to keep bugs off plants and vegetables......it can also be used on dogs and cats. Gets rid of fleas very well. Use the powder not the spray....rub it into the dogs skin well. Good luck.

go to a store where they sell items 4 horses,and buy fly spray.the kind that rubs on is the best.get his ears every few hours.it should keep the flies away.

Try a spray called Pre Strike - you can find it at petco. It is for mosquitos, but it works for flies too.

There is a spray used for horses tha can be used on the dog, there is aslso a spray for dogs. I got ours at a local farm supply store.

Go to Petco and buy Fly Remove for dogs. Are you sure they are not fleas? Well try giving it a bath or take it to a vet.

There is a spray that you can get from you pet store called "flys-off Lotion". I used it and it worked great on my black lab.
