CC1 is the standard Close Captioning format. Some stations/networks air their programs with a secondary Close Caption languages This is not SAP. The stations/networks will let the viewer know when a program is available in another language by displaying a notice and the proper CC mode at the begining of the program. CC2 is currently use by NBC for Spanish Close Captioning and CC3 by Telemundo for English captions.
