Why do people forget and throw away God?

I would like to know why people forget or throw God away? I do not understand this. He is the Almighty one and yet people do not fear him at all.

God is everywhere and knows everything, so we don't have the power to "throw Him away". I believe not enough people read God's Word to do their own research and are falling for the humanistic way of looking at things. It has been a long, long time since I heard a preacher even preach about Heaven and Hell and the choices we make. A lot of our churches are so politically correct, no real meat is taught to people who come hungry to hear God's Word. If the Truth is taught, some people get offended but we will be held accountable for what is taught in our churches.

It might be because they prayed for something, for example, if someone's mother died from cancer, and that person had been praying about it for a long time, they might think God doesn't love them and isn't there. But that isn't true, of course, humans don't understand. God always has a reason for doing something. Compared to him, we are so powerless. And this goes with all the questions about athiests not believing. Not everyone understands, so they just forget about it.

A lot of people refuse to believe what they cannot see. And others who once believed in God have probably gone through some traumatic experiences and have just lost faith. One of my friends was a religious person until her dad got cancer, and her mom and stepdad started fighting over religion. She's gone through two divorces. All of this trauma in her life has really made her bitter about God in general.

Because churches made God an eternal punisher and not teaching that God is love.
God doesn't want people to love him because or else. He wants them to love him because they choose to with free will.
Churches and the burning fire of hell has turned millions away from the Truth of God with their false doctrines of burning Hell.
Truth is that God will destroy the wicked in heart but that will mean death as in no more. He doesn't force himself on anyone but rather offers himself to forgive repenters and give the chance of everlasting life.

-Devil makes you feel that you are the one that accomplished anything and that God has no favor in that.So you start to show off and feel that why to remember God.
-Devil make you feel that sins are not that really bad and why it is forbidden if it is bringing joy, so you forget God.

most common reason is cause they dont believe in him and so they do not believe in heaven or hell but i have brought 3 people 2 god this year they were friends from school now they go 2 church and prey at night i am really glad i could help even though it was just3 people it did count as a good deed

People give up on God because they truly dont know him,they stand on old wives tales etc.circumstances and the cares of this world lead them away ,the bible says that there house was built on sand and not the rock of jesus Christ
