I have been wearing a bikini since I was 13 and it's not trashy. Most people nowadays DO wear 2 piece bathing suits, and of course some people are going to look at you but your mother has to realize that you are the one to make the judgement call about what to do if people are looking. Dudes checking you out is one thing, but whistling and making rude comments are another. If they start making obscene comments leave the beach or move down the beach, don;t just sit there and entertain it because THAT would be trashy. Anyway you are 15 and at that age you are getting more and more independent. I say go for it because your mother can't control you forever and it really is completely normal. She needs to open her eyes and ease up on the over-protective parent role.

Well, they will. But they are going to look at you anyways. Your mom is trippin cause you're 15 now and you're not just a little girl anymore. Maybe compromise, tell her you won't get one that is too reviling, like a tank and swim shorts. Those are way cute to ya know. But if it makes you feel better I've gotten way too fat to were a 2 piece myself or Even 1 piece for that matter!

What type of 2 piece are you looking at- a string bikini!?
Maybe show your mom some mature suits that are two piece and cover a little more skin. Try the website below.

I had the same problem with my daughter. It was very hard to see my baby girl (which is 14 ) looking very adult like. Your mother will just have to get used to the Idea that your growing up. You have to sit your mother down and have a very adult conversation with her to let her know that she raise a good girl and you cant help what other people do or say. But that you know how to handle yourself (which I hope you do ) out in public with a 2 piece swim suite. Your mother is only trying to protect you.

As you probabily understand, you mom is taking care of you, worrying about you... You should understand it's natural.
Still, I think you should establish a bigger TRUST bridge between you and her. "It's ok, Mom. I have my own limits"... You know, use some keywords to go straight to the heart :P, but sensitive ones.
Definetely guys will look at you but that's most of your conceirn. You decide either u'll wear the swimmsuite from now on, or not, because of you confort regarding a boy's look.
It's not a big deal, but still, show her a bit, you can taker care of you too.

Kudos MOM, Your mom is right. When I was 15 I looked 20 and my Dad didn't let me go anywhere without my little brother. After I snuck off and went anyway I ended upmin serious trouble with men. Listen to your mother baby girl. She was 15 once too and time changes people don't.

At your age listen to mom. There is plenty of cute one piece swimsuits out there. Believe me guys are going to look at cute girls no matter which suit you are wearing. You will have plenty of years to wear a 2 piece, so keep the peace and get a knock out one piece. Believe me pick your battles and this one is not worth arguing about.

Your mom is right, but it doesn't mean that you should not wear a 2 piece. Talk to mom and try to find a 2 piece that is a little more conservative instead of the thong bikini that you would want to wear.

Well, if you don't want guys to look at you (cuz they will with a 2 piece) then stick to what your mother says. But if you really want to and you are being made fun of for it then just explain the situation to her. If you do it in a diplomatic way she will understand and maybe she will start to let you wear at least a tankini. Best wishes.

my dad is the same way although that might be because the guys next door always have friends over, (some of which are very very hot!) Ask her about a tankini if not, tell her that a low cut one piece is just as attracting! Because I get looks all the time.
