I was sexually harassed while I was at work. I work at the Front Desk of a hotel and we have a restaurant on site. Occassionally I was Manager on Duty for the weekend and I would have to go back into the kitchen and work on the computer system. The cook started making really crude comments to me and I eventually told the GM. It started out innocent, just asking me if I had a boyfriend. Then later he said he needed to talk to me about something, I went back later and he got close to my face and said "between you and me, i think you have a fine a$$." Honestly, with some people I might have even passed this off but this guy is married with kids and at the time his wife and children were eating in the restaurant. I even said to him, "aren't you married with kids?" I told him to please stop making comments but he didn't. He even started calling me "roadrunner" because everytime I saw him, I would turn and run the other direction. When I did have to be near him, he would say stuff like "I'm watching that a$$." I felt very violated because he was constantly watching me. My boss is a young girl too so I felt comfortable confiding in her. At first nothing was done, then one day I had to go back in the kitchen and I confided in the bartender about the situation so that she would go into the kitchen with me. She told me that he had also been making comments to her. Telling her that he had never been with a white woman and wouldn't she like to be the first. I'm 26, he's about 30 and she is about 50 and has children our age. She only works 1 day a week so she just tried to ignore it and get through her shift. We we realized that it was happening to the both of us, she went to the GM as well. The GM obtained some sexual harassment literature from our corportate office and had a meeting with him. He had to sign some forms and was given a bunch of paperwork to read. I honestly felt like the situation was passed off and I wasn't satisfied by the actions that the GM took. He pretty much avoided us from that point on, but the awkwardness never went away. I would have pursued it further if I was going to be in that position for a long time, but I was 2 weeks from my college graduation and about to move back to my hometown. I still have another 3 weeks before I move but I am happy to report that he was fired yesterday for something unrelated.

Very scared at first then really angry
I shot him with my SigP229 when he did it a 3rd time and I had TOLD him I was getting a gun and showed off my SigArms Academy Certificate that I had completed a 2 day tactical pistol course. AND I brought in some of my targets that were on the bullseye. HE STILL broke in.
He won't be coming down for breakfast anymore.

Yes. My first full-time job in 1979. I was 18, fresh out of high school. Back then you really didn't hear much about sexual harrassment. You just took it; laughed it off. They certainly couldn't get away with what they did then!

Yes when I was 16 and working in a movie theater....he made rude comments and it made me feel uneasy but then they fired me and that was it...later on I found out that he had done it to other girls there as well. Best thing to do is tell a higher up.

Yes I have and it was with a very high profile, old and "respectable" man. I acted indifferent during that time but called my lawyer after. We warned him and I think his wife knew about it and after a few weeks, I heard he died...is that justice at work or what?

No. I personally feel that many people blow simple flirting, conversation, cartoons, etc. way out of proportion.
