The first thing to do is to keep your hands off your face and stop over treating it. When your skin is over dry it sends a message to your brain which the brain then sends a message back to your sebacious glands to produce more oil. With this over production of oil and dirt combination, your sebaceous glands become clogged resulting in comedos (blackheads). Which inflamed become acne.
The best soap you can use is lavender based. Lavender has antiseptic properties that fight bacteria. Make sure you find one that doesnt say fragrance of lavender. It has to have essential oil of lavender. Wash 3 or more times a day with it. And always before bed. Then use non alcohol astringents such as witchazel. Youll need to do some label reading. Also, scrub your face once a day in the morning with a good face scrub after you wash. It unclogs pores. One with salicylic acid. Then use a face treatment cream (the very best one is Herbal Logix which is very hard to find. Its called spot and blemish cream.) But some people say that Biore works pretty good too.
You also might want to consider using face masks with bentonite clay. It draws out impurities really fast. You can even spot treat with it and leave on overnight. Read those labels and make sure you see those ingredients in at least the 6th or 7th position. If you have fragrance sensitive skin, be sure and buy things that dont have any. This could be aggravating it also. Good luck.

You're gonna have to go to the doctor if over the counter treatments haven't helped. You could try proactive, or some of the other things you can by at a drucstore. A dermatologist can give you the best way to wash so it won't irritate your skin, and might give you some antibiotics or topical treatments to clear it up. It's worth the trouble to go!
Just scrubbing with soap won't get rid of it no matter what these idiots say. Over-washing and over-scrubbing can actually make it worse sometimes by irritating or drying out you skin. The acne's caused by bacteria in your skin, not just on your skin and you have to treat it appropriately.

It depends on the severity of it and how you clean your face. If you don't clean and moisturize on a regular bases (2x a day) then you will have acne. The best thing I have found is Clean and Clear with salasilic (sp??) acid. It will dry the acne up and you need to moisturize. Yes, even guys. Having dry skin can cause your pores to become clogged. Give it a try and keep up a good cleansing routine and if there is no improvement see a dr.

its hormones, so you cant cure it. But you can help give your body and natural defenses the upper hand.
This works for me, and i have level 2 acne.
i use natures cure, for face and body (for my back). its homopathic, there are no chemicals or drugs in the chewable tablets, just herbs. I dont use the face cream, but i do use the back spray.
In the morning i shower and then put benzoil peroxide on my face. and go about my day.
At night i wash with the pre-moistened noxema cloths, put the benzoil peroxide on my face, and then a little vitamin e lotion.
It works like a charm. Tanning also helps a lot if you have bacne (zits on your back).
Some day my hormones will get the memo that we're all grown up now. until then, i totally understand where you are :)
There links for all the products. You have to do it every day without miss, but it will work completely, i promise.

either pro active for the lazy people or really hot water and soap. wash ur face about ten times a day and u will not have acne. do not touch your face a lot because when u do it spreads the bacteria which is what causes acne
