in Exodus 35:2 God lays down this commandment:

For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD. Whoever does any work on it must be put to death.

Can any Christian show me in the bible where Sunday was substitude for Saturday? Please quote directly from the bible than.
Jesus said i am not here to change the law, i am here to fulfill it.
Can any1 tell me if Jesus ( he is the same as god) change his own law somewhere?

Isaiah 40:8 says, "The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God will stand for ever."

GOD's law will stand for ever , hmm. UNless some creative Christians will introduce new way of interconnecting galaxies to prove its not what GOD said.

there is no suprise that Christians don't read the bible. How many ppl in ehre even read the question they trying to answer.
I did nto asked if its important or not what day it is.
I aksed where in the bible it says change it from saturday to sunday.

Some ppl answer as long as one day.. who cares. exactly. TOday they think its ok change saturday, tomorrow they say who cares what god about Sex as long as we have once a year and so on... Ppl trying to say they think like GOD and they know why GOD did it. The question is simple. where in the bible it was cahnged. I don't need some one interpretation of what his first day is. TOday he ignores one thing , tomorrow another and so on.
how hypocritic that is.
Peace

You are right Jesus is the fulfillment of the law . He is Lord of the Sabboath. I will try to make it short but so it is understandable. If that were the case then why don't we celebrate the Passover because Christ fulfilled it He became the Passover Lamb? All of the Jewish feasts and Holidays were a shadow of things to come, that being Christ.

Col 2:16,1716 So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or Sabbaths,
17 which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance are of Christ.

The First Sabboath God rested means He stopped working He finished His work.
God gave Moses the Ten Commandments and that sabboath to rest from there works a shadow of the land of Canaan where God was going to bring them into their rest. When God swore in His wrath they will not enter His rest he meant Canaan the land. Christ being a fulfillment of the Saboath when he said:
Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. His rest is in Him eternally Christ IS the saboath; the rest you rest in Him He fulfilled that law!
That’s why when you read Col 2:16, 17 you can understand why we cannot be condemned for not practicing the Holidays moons or sabboaths Christ is there substance the completion of it all!
I wish I could go on but too much already I hope this helped a little.

I don't want to minimize your beliefs, but don't you think it's a bit much to be so obsessed with what day the sabbath is on?

The sabbath was created for man, not man for the sabbath.

Why do you suppose God established the sabbath? It was because we can get so wrapped up in the business of life that we forget about Him. Also we need to rest.

You may be missing the larger point about the Sabbath.

Also, throughout the New Testament Paul writes frequently about this kind of legalistic thinking. Look at his discussions about food laws and circumcision. We are not under the Law. Don't look for arbitrary rules to impose on yourself and others.

Sunday, Saturday, and even Wednesday for that matter. Does it really matter? No, it doesn't.

In Leviticus 23, God lays down many commandments concerning particular days. He first mentions the seventh day as a "sabbath of complete rest", then the 1st month, 4th day has instructions. Then 1st month/15th day, then count 7 sabbaths plus 50 days for another set of specific activities. In verse 23, the 1st day of the 7th month, you can't work, but "you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord".

Then, 7th month/10th day. Then, 7th month/15th day for 7 straight days of specific activities, followed by the eighth day with no work, but a fire offering.

There is no Scripture that 'changed' all these laws (and a multitude of others). I hope you're keeping all these special dates, and not just complaining about one you've decided to keep while disregarding others. You're looking for a small answer, when there is obviously a much larger concept to contend with. You need to ask a bigger question.

Sabbath observance was given only to Israel and ended with Mosaic Law

http://www.watchtower.org/library/jt/index.htm?article=article_03.htm

15 And you must remember that you became a slave in the land of Egypt and Jehovah your God proceeded to bring you out from there with a strong hand and an outstretched arm. That is why Jehovah your God commanded you to carry on the sabbath day. Deut. 5:15

“As for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘Especially my sabbaths YOU are to keep, for it is a sign between me and YOU during YOUR generations that YOU may know that I Jehovah am sanctifying YOU. Ex. 31:13;

For Christ is the end of the Law, so that everyone exercising faith may have righteousness. Rom. 10:4

9 But now that YOU have come to know God, or rather now that YOU have come to be known by God, how is it that YOU are turning back again to the weak and beggarly elementary things and want to slave for them over again? 10 YOU are scrupulously observing days and months and seasons and years. Gal. 4:9, 10

16 Therefore let no man judge YOU in eating and drinking or in respect of a festival or of an observance of the new moon or of a sabbath; 17 for those things are a shadow of the things to come, but the reality belongs to the Christ. Col. 2:16, 17

First of all Jesus is not God... Jesus is the son of God... Jesus is our defender in heaven and Satan is the accuser. Jesus will not be there to defend you if you do not beleive that he is the SON OF GOD.

Your answer is in Luke chapter 12, verse 10 thru 17 This is verse 15, The Lord answers him, You hypocrites! Any one of you would untie his ox or his donkey from the stall and take it out to give it water on the Sabbath..

This all was because Jesus heal a woman of evil Spirits on the Sabath and the officials of the synagogue was angry that Jesus had healed on the Sabbath .

Sunday did not SUBSTITUTED Saturday.

Regarding Sabbath, Jesus no longer needed to rest on the Sabbath Day because He is the fulfillment of the law and not follower of the Law of Moses.

But if you are talking of day of worship, early chrsitians gather to eat the bread and drink the wine in remembrance of him on the first day of the week.

Can anyone show where Saturday is more acceptable than Sunday?
God said keep the 7th day holy. This means if you work Wednesday through Sunday, to you Wednesday is your first day of the week. Tuesday would be the day to devote entirely to God.

Sunday happens to be my seventh day of the week. I worship in church as instructed by the commandment.

true it should be Saturday but as long as it is celebrated one day of the week its not that bad. I think since we consider Monday as the first day of the work week. also we are not looking at a Hebrew calender as theirs is different from ours. even now days the Sunday is taken away from American culture. businesses are open and staying open later and some places such as walmart are open 24/7 365. We are living in a society that is also influenced by other religions since the constitution states religious freedom and what the founding fathers really meant was Freedom of Christianity and not every other religion.
