I don't think a true religion can be found. If it were a true religion, then it would be obvious to everyone. Instead, you can trace the spread of religions through cultural memes. If Islam were the correct religion, it would flourish all over the globe, as Allah influences the people. If Christianity were the correct religion, it would flourish all over the globe, as Jehovah influences the people.

Or to quote Buffalo Springfield, "Nobody's right, if everybody's wrong."

Almost everyone can agree that the sun is 93 million miles away, even if they can't physically go out there and measure it. Yet, they cannot universally agree on a religion.

Well for one, the word religion is but a word. The meaning behind it is something that has become totally different than what it was. All religion is, is a path someone has taken to help others along the way with teachings and other beliefs. Most do religion with the mind. This is the problem now-a-days with religion. They believe with the mind. With this all things they bring into their own world are distorted. They forget that religion is supposed to be with the heart. Science is for the mind. That is the other half of getting to the destination. This is why one must find their own truth within this world. They must be open and experience their own experiences in life to help get to their destination. You do this by following your heart and learning with the mind.

Be open-minded with discernment. Take everything as it is, without any opinions to it, and when you have experienced it, you decide if it is working out for you in any way. If not, oh well... Just cast it aside and move on. You learned. That is what matters. By doing this, you create your own set of teachings, your own religion.

Do not get me wrong though. I also recomend to look within all religions of their teachings and learn from what they had to offer. Do not hold any higher than the others. All you are doing is being attached to it. That is not your goal. Your goal is to have a life with God. So learn from others, in all ways possible, and keep your mind open, reaching for the Father. You will find out that you only need to be simple to find Him. I hope this helps. I wish you best of luck on your journey.

Franklin D. Richards, “Testimony,” Ensign, May 1974, 57
My dear brothers and sisters, I have truly been inspired by the words of our beloved prophet as well as my brethren. The beautiful prayer and music have likewise contributed to making this conference another remarkable spiritual experience.

In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints members frequently use words that have a special meaning to them—one of which is testimony.

Members bear, or relate, their testimonies to other members at special testimony meetings and at times avail themselves of the opportunity to bear their testimonies to nonmembers. In bearing their testimonies, members generally testify that they know that God lives and that his Son Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer and that the restored gospel of Jesus Christ is the divine plan of life that brings happiness and growth to those who accept it and make it a part of their daily lives.

President Harold B. Lee expressed it this way: “Within the Gospel of Jesus Christ may be found the solution of every problem confronting us, which will enable us to find happiness here and eternal life in the world to come.” (Church News, March 9, 1974, p. 2.)

It has been stated that the purpose of the gospel is to change peoples’ lives, to make bad people good and good people better, to change human nature; and how true this is!

President Brigham Young said, “You cannot find a compass on the earth, that points, so directly, as the Gospel plan of salvation. It has a place for every thing, and puts everything in its place.” (Journal of Discourses, vol. 3, p. 96.)

Some members of the Church possess powerful and unfaltering testimonies, while others possess less forceful testimonies. It should be recognized that testimonies can be acquired, testimonies can be kept, and testimonies can be lost.

It is not uncommon to hear Church members declare that their testimony is their most prized possession.

A convert from Seattle, in answering the question “What has the Church done for you?” replied, “Everything! My life now has purpose and meaning. Now what can I do for the Lord? I owe him my all.”

Another convert living in Arizona had this to say:

“One brother was extremely instrumental in our becoming members of the Church. We will ever be indebted to him and thankful to him for asking us what we knew about the Mormon Church and would we like to know more. Through the missionary discussions we were thoroughly convinced that this was the true church. And the thing that has changed my life the most is that I have found a purpose in life and a certain peace of mind I have never felt before. I know with all my heart that this is the true church and that Christ lives and God lives.”

The true religions does not exist, you find your path and your spirituality, but if you want to find guidance from an organization, well that is up to you, what you feel is comfortable for you then that is is. Do not let anyone force you a faith, you have your free will, believe in God he will give you peace.

First you have to search for it, visit local churches. After attending each church get on your knees for as long as it takes and ask God if it is true!!!!! He will answer if you are truly seeking for the truth. You will know in your heart through the witness of the holy spirit if it is true. Once you have this confirmation you join the church no matter what people tell you because the only answer you need is the one you get from God.

I do not think there is such a thing as true religion, as soon as we put a name to it we start setting up rules and that takes away from the spirituality that we are feeling. I think we will not find that until (by my beliefs) we are all together in the next world (I do believe in God)

There's no true religion. The important is being happy, and leading a life you like. It's also very important to help make this world better. Leave it a little better than you found it.

Jesus Christ is the one and only way. Religion can never save. Scripture teaches us,

1Ti 2:5 For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
